About the project
The "Covid-19 Cases Tracking App," which I designed and developed independently, serves as a powerful platform for disseminating crucial information and updates related to the global pandemic. This user-friendly app harnesses real-time data from public RESTful APIs, ensuring that users stay informed about the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus.
The app is a Material UI dashboard: a summary of the global numbers, a country table, and state-level pages for India and the USA, built with JavaScript, React, HTML and CSS on public REST APIs and hosted on GitHub Pages. I published it the day after I started, added the state-wise data within a week, and kept the data feed working into early April 2020. Once the outbreak faded from the news the users went with it, so I retired the app. The code is on GitHub.
